Thanks! Try to picture them as 3D objects with depth. If you like, you can also study reference photos of minerals to get ideas of how geometric lines form & intersect!
To me, it’s a matter of developing an eye for balance in the lines you lay down. So just keep drawing more & more and they’ll refine as you discover what looks good & what doesn’t feel harmonious with the piece. Bam! You can’t lose!
I am tired of being told to like female characters.
Yes, I am going to judge male and female characters differently, I am going to be interested in a wider range of plotlines that feature male characters and, to be honest, I am going to like more male characters…
I felt compelled to reblog this because it seems like more and more things I, personally, encounter these days are portraying women who are bogged down in plot lines that revolve around them dealing with sexism. So it seems that society is now acknowledging the existence of sexism, but it just can’t imagine a world without it yet. Our biggest moment to shine seems to be when we get to beat up the men who would hold us down, taking their power from them. The strongest female characters being the ones who are the most manipulative and aggressive at this. No wonder some men feel like the victims of feminism. It doesn’t empower me anymore to watch the same struggles that I’ve faced, and continue to face, day to day. Rather, it’s just a tiresome reminder of things that I’m more than ready to put behind me. I’m ready for some real fiction - something that transports me to a world I’ve never imagined, with new challenges and obstacles.
